Nani Ola Hawaiian Dance Company

Las Vegas, NV - Kumu Hula Kanani Pharr Cadaoas

KaHulaHou is pleased to welcome the Nani Ola Hawaiian Dance Company back to the KaHulaHou arena.

Kanani Pharr-Cadaoas formed the Nani Ola Hawaiian Dance Company in November 1994. Having been a dancer for most of her life, Kanani studied under renowned kumu hula John Pi’ilani Watkins, Leilani Sharpe-Mendez, and Kaulana Kasparovitch... just to name a few.

The goal of the Las Vegas-based dance company is to produce and perform traditional and contemporary hula that re-images the art for the valley. Under the leadership of Kumu Kanani, the Company remains dedicated to its vision as it pursues two primary objectives:

  • To preserve the art of hula, dance aesthetic, and standards of excellence created and established by Kumu Kanani's teachers; and
  • To develop new work that draws on the creative talents of contemporary choreographers and composers, and speaks to the time in which it is made.

This vision is accompanied by a commitment to expand the Company's audience and make hula accessible to the widest possible public through touring, education programs, the creative use of media, and other outreach efforts.
